Creating portraits and paintings for clients throughout the country, Karen works from photos taken by her for that purpose, except when travel distances do not permit.  In that case, she would need to work with photos the client has on hand, or assist the client or their photographer in producing the best possible images.

Of course, there will be a discussion with the client during which the mood, size and background of the portrait/painting is decided.  Clothing, setting and where the piece will hang will also be considered.

Once the photo selection has been made, a compositional sketch will be presented for the client's approval, either in person or by mail.  At that time the client will determine the medium, size, and ultimately the final price.

Delivery arrangements are made in consultation with the client, who shall receive insured satisfaction in the final results and a beautiful heirloom to be enjoyed for generations to come.
